The Pow Wow Girls
Picture of my two little squaws dancing with the native Americans at the Native American Festival at FDR Park this past weekend. Couldn't keep them off the field after awhile.

My girls drew me a little present in my office on my erasable board. A nice collaborative effort on the part of the Gante Girlz. Very proud of my young artists in training. Incidentally, that's me standing in my garden under  the moonlight, smelling a moon flower that I grew. Man, I love these guys!

Well, not to much going on around here. The girls are doing well in school and loving every minute of it, and I'm towing the line and keeping my head above water. Started to iron all the cloths, so what used to take me 2 hours is now a day long laundry activity. But at least we're not the wrinkliest family on the block anymore, so it's worth it! I've been going to the gym almost everyday and run about 5 miles average, then work out. So we've all been managing to stay busy.
These pictures are from the aquarium in Norwalk Ct. Took the kids there a little while back and had a blast. I even got to pet a sting ray (stinger removed) and it was soft slick and squishy, in that order. A very fun day, enjoy
The girls being the girls.
Rosie and her compadres
An albino alligator, this exhibit was acually closed, but try keeping these two away!
EJ with Crush one of the stars of the hit movie Finding Nemo!
Now Rosie taking a turn with the movie star!

My little Rosie is a catcher of things, here's a few pictures of some
of the things she's caught this year. FYI all
things are returned to nature unharmed,
 remarkably enough!
a tiny frog
a dragon fly
A living whelk!
a Turtle
A large mouth bass... alright this one I've got to tell you about. While down in Florida for the summer, Rosie and I walked the dogs everyday. So one of these days we stopped at the lake behind my folk house. Rosie went to the lake and caught herself a small fish by hand, while I was sitting on the bench. She then proceeded to run back to the house and get the fishing poles. En-route she put the little fish she had caught on the line. Within 3 minutes she was standing in front of me with a monster of a fish. All on her own, I kid you not. She amazes me.
a blue tail skink
a crayfish or crawfish, don't know which ones the right term but...whatever!!!
a flutter bye
A jackson Anole, rather large one I might add!
nother shot, bunny ears provided by EJ
No fear and I wouldn't want it any-other way!!

Talk about 3 great looking human beings. Jeeeessss!!!!!
Our little Rosie got an assignment to decorate her writer's notebook with thing's she likes and does. Some of which were dancing, bugs, lizards, and of course the great game of SOCCER!!!!!
The result was outstanding. She's quite the little artist. Check it out!

She fought the flash on this one!
These are the three different varieties of toad lilies that I have. I actually have four but the yellow ones bloomed this summer while I was away in Florida. The three that are pictured all opened their blooms for me at the same time. I had not taken much joy from my garden this year, but after seeing these guys... I guess things could be much worse.
Enjoy the world, even the small stuff.

I grew these wonderful things, from nothing! Can you believe it???
